We recommend all customers use the ID Protection (Contact Privacy) add-on service for domain registrations, which conceals your contact info from public lookup by spammers and scammers.
If you have purchased ID Protection service and you need to turn it off:
- Log in to your domain management control panel at https://www.photon.net/clients/
- Go to Domains > My Domains in the main menu (or click on the Domains rectangle on the home page after log in)
- Click on the wrench icon next to the domain you want to edit.
- On the page for managing the domain, there is a side menu along the left side of the screen – select "Addons". ID Protection can be disabled from the Addons page.
- After clicking the button to disable ID Protection, you will land on a confirmation page asking if you're sure you want to turn it off. Click "Confirm Cancellation" on this page.
Generally there is no reason to turn off ID Protection once enabled, but if you would like to transfer a domain between registrars, it is required to turn off ID Protection so you will receive all confirmation messages from the new registrar.
